OJARNA is not built around industrial perfection. Pieces are often created from reclaimed, vintage, hand-worked or naturally treated materials. Handmade in villages, small ateliers or the OJARNA studio itself, small marks, irregularities, signs of age, spots and material variations may be part of the story of a piece rather than flaws.

Almost all pieces are one-of-a-kind, but a similar version may be possible. Please contact us to inquire. If the textile is available, we can discuss tones, materials and plant dye options.
Some OJARNA pieces – especially footwear and selected objects – may be personalized on request. Symbols are painted by hand and often emerge through conversation, reflecting a feeling, intention, dream or personal theme rather than fixed decoration. Inspired by primitive and tribal visual languages, each intervention is intuitive and one-of-a-kind.
OJARNA pieces are often wrap-based, adjustable, layered or one-of-a-kind. Rather than following standard fashion sizing, each piece follows its own material logic and feeling. Some are more oversized, some more fitted, and some naturally suit different body types. Many emerge from materials found, collected or developed over years –
sometimes from remote places, local markets, village tailors or home ateliers. Each piece is an experiment in tune with the time, energy, people and materials surrounding it.
The OJARNA sculpture is not a traditional mannequin. It began in 2005 and slowly evolved over years, reaching its final form around 2015. Built through layers rather than design plans, it was shaped using whatever was around – earth from the garden, materials from the atelier, found textures and everyday elements gathered over time. Its rough and imperfect surface is part of its story. It is used to show drape, feeling and presence rather than standard fit.
