OJARNA NOTES

* Zero-waste practice since 2005.
* Made from reclaimed textiles and found materials.
* Handmade in villages and small ateliers.
* Irregularities are part of the piece — not defects.
* Many OJARNA pieces are created from reclaimed, vintage, hand-worked or naturally treated materials. Small marks, signs of age and material variations may be part of the story of the piece rather than flaws.

OJARNA pieces are often wrap-based, adjustable, layered or one-of-a-kind. Rather than following standard fashion sizing, each piece follows its own material logic and feeling. Some are more oversized, some more fitted, and some naturally suit different body types. Many emerge from materials found, collected or developed over years — sometimes from remote places, local markets, village tailors or home ateliers. Each piece is an experiment in tune with the time, energy, people and materials surrounding it.

Material & Production

Since 2005, all OJARNA pieces are created through a zero-waste approach.

No conventional fabrics are used. Every piece is made from leftover textiles, reclaimed materials, or found elements. Even additional components are sourced as used or collected materials.

Production happens in small ateliers or villages, made by hand by individuals — not factories.

Dyeing is done either in the OJARNA atelier or in different parts of the world, often in village settings, using manual and natural processes.

Because of this, variations, irregularities, or marks that may appear as “imperfections” are part of the nature of the piece.

By purchasing, you acknowledge and accept this material and production reality.
